Picnic Island Dog Beach

With beautiful views of Tampa Bay, Picnic Island Dog Beach is a fun and beautiful setting for both your pup and your family. Swimming is a popular pastime of many dogs living in Florida and at Picnic Island, they can do just that! This dog beach also provides lots of room to run and play on the sand. Humans were not forgotten as there are picnic tables and benches to use. Hoses are available allowing you to leave the sandy paw prints on the beach!

Palma Ceia Dog Park

Operated by the City of Tampa, the Palma Ceia Dog Park is a great neighborhood spot for South Tampa locals. There are plenty of shade trees to help humans steer clear of the Florida sun. The park also has a playground and picnic area, the formula for a great day with the whole family!

Davis Island Dog Beach

This beach is a staple in the South Tampa doggy-social scene. Davis Island Dog Beach is usually bustling with swimming pooches, especially on the weekends, so make sure your dog is ready to socialize. There is also plenty of shore space to let your dog off the leash to run around. A tired pup makes for a happy owner!

Curtis Hixon Waterfront Dog Park

This doggie wonder is nestled amongst one of downtown Tampa’s finest urban parks. The Curtis Hixon Waterfront Dog Park is complete with special dog-friendly grass installed to provide a low-maintenance surface able to withstand high pup-traffic. The park also features obstacle courses that double as art pieces!

Tampa Bay Brewing Company

This successful Tampa Bay brewery expanded last year from it’s well-known Ybor location  to another large facility in the Westchase area. Both locations are equipped with ample outdoor space and offer a wide selection of craft beer and food . The Westchase patio area is dog-friendly and provides the perfect atmosphere to watch the game with the family or have a beer with your furry friend.

Logan Gate Dog Park

Given a whopping 4 out of 5 bones on pet travel website, BringFido.com, Logan Gate Dog Park is providing all of the amenities you need for the perfect day at the park. A water/bathing station allows you to keep the dirt out of your car and home. Community tennis balls are also available if you forget the favorite toy at home! Also on site are a playground and basketball court to provide humans with some fun as well.

Fort De Soto Paw Playground and Beach

The Paw Playground and Beach at Fort De Soto Park provides a beach area for dogs to swim and a more typical dog park segmented for both large and small dogs to enjoy. A park entrance fee required, but $5 is a small price to pay to return home with a happy (and tired) pup.
