South Tampa Real Estate Market Report | March 14, 2018 - March 20, 2018

The South Tampa market continued it's fervent pace as evidenced by last week's numbers.  We were fortunate to be a part of several of those sales and pending contracts.  As I was thinking about our clients involved in those transactions, it struck me that most of them are millennials.   For years I heard from the mainstream media that millennials won't buy homes because they want flexibility, the ability to move around, and they don't want to settle down to start families.  Don't believe everything you hear or read.  The statisticians at the National Association of Realtors (NAR) have been challenging those assumptions about the home-buying habits of millennials for over five years.  Their data suggested millennials' mindset regarding housing wasn't much different than their parents.  Turns out the statisticians were correct.  Take a quick look at this article about millennials in the housing market.  They're buying and selling and are a welcome addition to the overall housing market.  Have a great week!

Sincerely,

Michael J. Palermo
