Amalie Arena: it is a 670,000-square-foot arena located in Tampa, Florida. Since its opening on October 12, 1996, it has undergone changes in its name beginning with its original name the Ice Palace to St. Pete times forum in 2002, Tampa Bay Times Forum in 2012 and to its current name Amalie Arena in 2014. Its first event was the royal Hanneford Circus which was followed by the first hockey game between Tampa Bay Lightning and New York Rangers with lightning winning 5-2.

Amalie Arena is also a home ground for the Tampa Bay Storm of the Arena football league. It has been used for many high profile events including the 2000 WWF Survivor Series, the 1999 NHL All-Star Games, the 2008 NCAA Womens' Division 1 Final Four , the 2007 ACC Men's basketball tournament, the 2012 Republican national convention, the 2009 southeastern conference men's basketball tournament, then presidential candidate Barack Obama rally, the 2012 NCAA Men's Frozen Four which was the first time the frozen four left Northern us since 1999 and lots of other outstanding events to be remembered. Amalie Arena made history after its whooping $62 million renovations that occurred between 2011-2013.

Channelside Bay Plaza: it is not far from downtown Tampa and known for its unique shopping, dining and entertainment experience which makes it an ideal spot for a day or night out. Its vast array of restaurants and shops give a sense of amusement and memorable experiences. Also, its exclusive bowling lane makes it a perfect seaside location for people to play and exercise.

The Florida Aquarium: The Florida Aquarium was opened in March 1995 as a not for profit organization located in Tampa. It has created a virtual image of Florida's natural environment in the urban part of downtown as it features over 10,000 aquatic plants and animals. The Florida Aquarium finds itself among the top 10 aquariums in the country in a ranking done by tripadvisor.com and it also got a spot in the top 5 kids friendly Aquariums done by parent's magazine

Port Tampa Bay: Port Tampa Bay was formally called Port of Tampa until 2014. It is the largest port in the state of Florida and overseen by Tampa port authority. The traffic to and from the port has significant economic impact on the downtown community. It is among the most diversified ports in the nation with commodities ranging from building materials to fertilizers, agricultural produce, gasoline and jet fuel, vehicles, container goods among its cargos. Port Tampa Bay is about 25 miles from the Gulf of Mexico and has a warehouse space of 1 million-square-feet and a dock length of 8,500 feet. Furthermore, its sheer size makes it possible to serve nearly one million passengers and thus, a prominent departure port.

Stage Works Theatre: when it comes to entertainment on a small scale and spicing of people's lives with a bit of drama, stage works theater is the real deal.It has been on board since 2011 thrilling and entertaining people in the Channel district's grand central Kennedy condos. The 99-seat capacity theater offers exclusive stage performances that lift the mind and body with a feel of professionalism.

The SS American Victory Mariners Memorial and Museum Ship: it was built in 1945 as a merchant marine vessel and used during world War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam conflict. The vessel was restored after the war and became a site for tourist attraction bringing visitors from different parts of the world. The vessel now a museum ship provides explanations to maritime culture thereby giving its visitors a perfect picture of the daily routines of ships.

Of all significant ports in the United States, the Port Tampa Bay is the closest to the Panama Canal. The stations of TECO Line streetcar are enriched with local public art. A view of the stations tells you the history and nature of the Channel District.
